Despite a strong second-set performance, Penn State Shenango fell to Pitt-Bradford 3-1 in their home opener. Shenango struggled offensively, posting a team hitting percentage of -.023, with 25 kills and 28 errors on 131 attempts. Cyra Cross led the team with 9 kills on 33 attempts, contributing 9.0 points overall. Kylee Loreno added 5 kills but committed 11 errors, while Sydney Ward chipped in 3 kills and a team-high 3 service aces.
Setter Carla Ramirez Ortiz recorded 11 assists and 14 digs, showcasing her defensive abilities. Jade Shattuck added 8 assists and a service ace.
