Andrew Frank named Head Women's Volleyball Coach

Sharon, PA – Penn State Shenango Athletics has named Andrew Frank as the new head women's volleyball coach for the Lions.

Frank is no stranger to Shenango Athletics, having previously worked as the assistant volleyball coach under former head coach Nikki Nych from 2019 to 2021. Before his time at Shenango, Frank was the head volleyball coach at Neshannock High School from 2010 until 2018.

"I'm humbled and honored that the Penn State Shenango athletic administration and staff felt I was the right choice to take the helm," said Frank, who is looking forward to the challenge of building upon the strong foundations of the program, while also creating chemistry with the current and future student-athletes.

"My vision is to not only compete this season, but to build a solid program in the PSUAC," Frank said.

"We are excited to have Andrew lead our volleyball team in a new direction," said Penn State Shenango Athletic Director Brandon Padgett. "His experience here at Shenango as an assistant coach previously will serve him well, and we cannot wait for him to get started with the new team."

Frank earned a bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Pittsburgh. He currently works as a physical therapist with UPMC in New Castle.
