Shenango Women Extend Win Streak

Penn State Shenango continued its impressive run with a dominant 75-46 victory over Penn State Fayette, improving to 11-6 on the season and extending its conference win streak to eight games. The Lions set the tone early, using a balanced offensive attack and strong rebounding to control the game from start to finish. Leading the charge was Hailee Aguinaga, who recorded an impressive double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds while also tallying five steals. Her presence in the paint was key as Shenango out-rebounded Fayette 49-29.

Jaysina Sellers provided steady scoring with 11 points on an efficient 5-for-10 shooting, while Alli Lewis contributed 10 points, hitting five of her seven shot attempts. Aneziah Fryer showcased her playmaking skills, dishing out a team-high six assists to go along with eight points and six rebounds. Defensively, Shenango's pressure forced 21 Fayette turnovers, leading to transition opportunities and easy buckets.

Despite struggles at the free-throw line (9-for-19, 47.4%), Shenango's strong shooting from the field (42.5%) and dominant third quarter, where they outscored Fayette 22-10, secured the win. The team also displayed depth, with multiple players contributing on both ends of the floor, including Gabrielle King, who grabbed eight rebounds off the bench.

With this strong performance, Penn State Shenango continues its hot streak and looks to carry its momentum forward as it prepares for a crucial matchup against Penn State Beaver on Tuesday. The showdown will be a battle for first place in the PSUAC West, with both teams vying for the top spot in the standings.
