Coach Markee Juranovich brings to Penn State Shenango over a decade of coaching experience and a strong commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field. Her coaching career began in 2011 with the Lady Diamondback travel softball team out of Sharpsville, PA, where she led the team to qualify for the World Series tournament in Indianapolis, IN in their first season. Since then, she has coached at Reynolds, Sharpsville, and Sharon high schools, achieving significant milestones at each program. At Reynolds, she guided the team to its first winning season, playoff appearance, and playoff victory in program history. At Sharpsville, all nine starters earned All-Region honors under her leadership. Returning to her alma mater, Sharon High School, she helped the team achieve its first winning season and double-digit win total since 2007, along with the program’s second ever playoff victory.
Beyond coaching, she plays an active role in the local community as the Director of Sports & Recreation at Buhl Park. She also serves as President of the Sharon Recreation Commission and Chair of the Gus Macker at Buhl Park tournament committee. A proud graduate of Sharon High School’s Class of 2007, she is passionate about giving back to the community that shaped her athletic and personal journey. At Penn State Shenango, her goal is to build a competitive softball program that emphasizes teamwork, resilience, and academic success while empowering student-athletes to excel both on the field and in the classroom.
The 2025-26 season will mark the first at Penn State Shenango for Coach Juranovich.
