PENN STATE SHENANGO EXPLODES FOR 96 POINTS IN KEY CONFERENCE OVERTIME WIN

SHARON, PA- With no time left on the regulation clock, Amareay Walters of Penn State DuBois, tied the score at 79 with a jumper in the paint to send the game into overtime, but the Lions quickly regrouped to score 19 points in the extra frame to gather their second win of the season to improve to 2-5 overall, 2-1 in the conference.

Sophomore Tyler James (Warren, OH) led the Lions with 19 points and 13 rebounds while adding 4 blocked shots on the defensive end of the floor. Sophomore Brayden Martin (Grove City, PA) came off the bench to play 35 minutes to net 18 points and grab 7 boards while Tyrone Steals (New Castle, PA) pumped in 18 points with 5 rebounds and 4 assists. 

The Lions took control of the overtime frame at the free throw line netting 11 total and 32 of 46 for the game.

Penn State Shenango constantly employed full court pressure throughout most of the game to help force Penn State DuBois into 22 turnovers and 27 fouls with Cole Morris, Montest Bumpers, and Tre'von Williams all eventually fouling out. Williams led DuBois, now 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the conference, with 22 points in 29 minutes before exiting the game while 6 DuBois players finished in double figures to include former Penn State Shenango standout Russell Gariepy ending with 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists.
