Penn State Shenango Finishes Fourth at PSUAC Golf Championship, Faith Sullivan Earns National Honors
STATE COLLEGE, PA – Penn State Shenango's Co-Ed Golf team wrapped up a strong season with a fourth-place finish at the 2024 PSUAC Golf Championship, held October 14-15 at the Penn State Blue Course. The championship was held in conjunction with the USCAA National Championship, bringing together top teams from across both the Penn State University Athletic Conference and the United States Collegiate Athletic Association.

Shenango posted a two-day total of 678 (+102), just one stroke behind third-place Penn State Lehigh Valley (677). Nate Stuyvesant led the team with a 12th-place individual finish, shooting rounds of 83 and 81 for a total of 164 (+20). Mason Vannoy followed closely, tying for 16th at 169 (+25), while Luke Atterholt tied for 20th with a 171 (+27). Will Perry (173, +29) and Bowen Briggs (174, +30) rounded out Shenango's top performers, all contributing to the team's competitive push.

A major highlight of the event for Shenango was the national recognition of Faith Sullivan, who was named the USCAA Female Student-Athlete of the Year for Golf. Sullivan's remarkable balance of athletic achievement and academic excellence earned her this prestigious award, further solidifying Shenango's presence on the national stage. Her contributions to the team and the recognition of her hard work reflect the growing strength of Shenango's golf program.

Penn State Mont Alto claimed the team title with a score of 637 (+61), but Shenango's strong performance, alongside Sullivan's national honor, capped off a successful championship showing. Competing at the PSUAC Championship alongside USCAA teams provided Shenango's golfers with valuable experience and exposure to national-level competition.

As the program continues to grow, Penn State Shenango looks forward to building on this momentum in the upcoming seasons.
