The Penn State Shenango Golf team competed at the Penn State White Course on September 5th, 2024, finishing 5th overall in a strong field. Nathan Stuyvesant led the way for Shenango, shooting a stellar 76, which earned him a tie for 5th place individually in a competitive leaderboard. Will Perry also put in a strong performance, firing a 79 to help bolster Shenango's team score.
Luke Atterholt followed with a solid round of 85, while Bowen Briggs and Tyler Evans rounded out the team's scoring, shooting 86 and 87, respectively. Mason Vannoy also contributed with an 87 on the day.
Competing as individuals, Michael Gushura finished with a 106, while Faith Sullivan represented Shenango brilliantly, finishing 1st in the women's competition with an impressive 96.
The Shenango Golf team will aim to carry this momentum into the weekend when Faith Sullivan competes in the Thiel Invitational on Saturday, September 7th and the Men's team heads to Penn State DuBois on Sunday, September 8th.
