The Penn State Shenango Co-Ed golf team saw their first action of the season on the White Course at Penn State University (University Park) on Thursday morning. Despite a rain delay in the middle of the round, the team managed to work their way to a 6th place overall finish.

On an individual level, Gianna Effinite took first place in her division with a round-low 82. Leading the men's side, Tyler Evans and Nate Stuyvesant shot an 80 and 82, respectively.

Penn State York's Andy Manges shot an event-low 71 while leading York to a team victory.

The Shenango golfers will be back in action on Sunday, September 10th at Penn State DuBois. The round starts at 11 AM.
