Women's Basketball Gives Back this Christmas

FARRELL, PA - This past week, the Shenango Lady Lions volunteered at the Prince of Peace in Farrell, Pa for the non-profit's "Toy Drive Pick Up" day. The team assisted the Prince of Peace staff by helping bag toys for the children of the community, as well as helping the recipients pack their cars with toys and food. The girls also helped the Prince of Peace staff with different miscellaneous tasks around the building. Coach Cimone Reid: "community service is very important to our program. Our team was eager to help at the Prince of Peace and they had a great experience with their staff and people in the community." Very thankful for the community support the team has receieved over the past two years, Reid also stated: "this community has been so welcoming to our student athletes. It's great to be able to spend time volunteering and helping out in any way that we can."
