
SHARON, PA — The Penn State Shenango Women's Volleyball team has officially released its 2025 schedule, featuring a competitive mix of home and away contests as the Lions gear up for another exciting season on the court.
The season opens with two scrimmages in late August, beginning on Wednesday, August 27 with a road trip to La Roche University for a 6 PM first serve. The team will return home the following evening, Thursday, August 28, to host CCBC also at 6 PM.
September brings a packed slate of matchups, including a challenging road trip to Miami-Hamilton on Friday, September 5, followed by a doubleheader on Saturday, September 6, where Shenango will face Wright State-Lake and UC Clermont in Ohio. The team continues their road swing with a matchup against Pitt-Bradford on September 9 before returning home to host Kent State-Tuscarawas for their home opener on Thursday, September 11.
A key early-season matchup arrives on Saturday, September 13, when the Lions face off against Penn State Greater Allegheny at the Buhl Club. The squad will also host Lorain County CC on Tuesday, September 16, and Penn State Beaver on Wednesday, September 24.
Conference road tests include dates at DuBois (Sept. 18) and Fayette (Sept. 20), as well as a non-conference matchup at Carlow (Sept. 22), with exact times for some matches to be announced.
September concludes with a home matchup versus Penn State New Kensington on Saturday, September 27 and a return visit to CCBC on Monday, September 29.
October promises to keep the momentum going, with matchups including a rematch at Greater Allegheny (Oct. 1) and a home contest against Fayette on Saturday, October 4 at noon. Additional away games at Butler County CC (Oct. 7), Wooster (Oct. 13), Beaver (Oct. 15), and New Kensington (Oct. 18) will close out the regular season, along with a home match against DuBois on Thursday, October 9.
With a schedule stacked with strong opponents and key conference matchups, head coach Andrew Frank and the team are looking to build on last season's PSUAC Semifinal appearance and make a statement in 2025.
