PENN STATE SHENANGO FALLS TO PENN STATE GREATER ALLEGHENY, 65-57

McKEESPORT, PA- The Lions took a 31-29 advantage into intermission on Tuesday night but Penn State Greater Allegheny went on a 12-0 run to start the second and finish with a key PSUAC Conference West win. With the win Greater Allegheny took sole possession of second place with a 4-2 conference record while Penn State Shenango falls to 3-3.

The Lions (3-7 overall), without the services of injured players Larry Ransom, Jr and Ramell Askerneese, were led once again by junior Donovan Verges with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Tyler James chipped in with 13 points and 8 off the boards

Greater Allegheny (now 7-3 overall) got another big time effort from reigning Conference Player of the Week, Joe Charlton with 14 points and 14 rebounds while Koran Fleming added another 14 to aid the winning cause.

Both teams experience cold shooting most of the night with Shenango shooting 35 percent from the floor and Greater Allegheny finishing at 33.

The Lions will play an exhibition game versus Ashland University on December 22nd before returning to regular season action on January 8th to play at home against Akron Wayne.
