Shenango Falls in Season Finale

The Penn State Shenango Lions' Baseball team dropped two games to the NCAA Division III Franciscan Barons on Friday.

Game 1 saw Shenango jump out to an early 2-0 lead before the Barons' bats came alive in the 3rd, scoring six runs. Shenango struggled to push runs across the plate despite an 11-hit effort in the game, falling by a final score of 8-4 Troy Bachman went 3-for-4 and stole two bases while Kaleb Gorichky launched his 7th Homerun of the season.

Shenango fell again in Game 2, 6-2. The Barons were able to plate four runs in the 4th inning, which is all they would need, holding off Shenango through the final four innings to secure the win. Troy Bachman and Kaleb Gorichky notched two hits each in the contest.

With the two losses, Shenango still managed to finish their inaugural season with an impressive 18-12 record.
