
Mindy Frazer-Epstein has been named the Dr. Morren J. Greenburg Head Cross Country Coach at Penn State Shenango. With over two decades of coaching experience and a lifelong commitment to competitive athletics, Frazer-Epstein brings a dynamic mix of leadership, energy, and expertise to the Shenango Lions cross country program.
"We are extremely excited to have Mindy as our new cross country coach," said Brandon Padgett, director of athletics at Penn State Shenango. "Her experience, intensity, and high energy are exactly what we need for our program. I am confident that she will guide this program in the right direction, from her coaching expertise and her ability to recruit quality student-athletes."
Frazer-Epstein has been coaching since 2005, including recent roles as Head Track and Field Coach at Sharpsville Area High School and Head Cross Country Coach at Kennedy Catholic High School. She has also worked with the Mind, Kinetics & Energetics (MKE) and the United States Track & Field Association Team since 2013. She holds the United States Track & Field Association (USATF) Level 1 and Level 2 coaching certifications and is an active member of the United States Triathlon Association (USAT) and the Tri-State Track Coaches Association (TSTCA).
A dedicated athlete herself, Frazer-Epstein continues to compete in road races and triathlons and is a member of the Grove City Masters Swim Team. Her background as a collegiate cross country and track & field athlete includes a personal best of 17:58 in the 6K, a state title in the 800 meters, and record performances in the 800m and 4x400m relay. At Sharon High School, she was a three-time state qualifier in cross country and held five school records.
As a coach, she has guided 21 District 10 champions, nine state qualifiers, and nine state medalists.

"I will do everything in my power and ability to develop and coach young runners at Penn State Shenango to carry on his legacy. I have such great memories of Dr. Greenberg, waving or chatting with him at meets and invites. He will always be an inspiration to me."
Frazer-Epstein holds a bachelor's degree from Slippery Rock University in biology, chemistry, and Asian studies, and is currently pursuing her master's degree in chemistry through Youngstown State University.
