MONACA, PA- The Penn State Shenango Lady Lions took to the road on Saturday and came home with a win and a loss in the PSU Beaver Tri Match. In the first match Penn State Beaver defeated the Lady Lions in three sets by scores of 25-21, 25-12, and 26-24. Despite the loss, Ashley Haylett (Conneaut Lake, PA) came up big in the stat book with 16 kills and 10 assists. Donique Marcella (Farrell, PA) also aided with 7 digs along with Jenna Bornemiss with 23 assists.

In the second match Penn State Shenango rebounded with a dominating win over CCBC, 3-0, with set scores of 25-11, 25-17, and 25-20. Penn State Beaver improved their overall record to 13-6 (4-3 in the conference) while Penn State Shenango finished the day with an overall record of 8-10 (1-7 in the conference).

For the first time this season the Lady Lions have the opportunity to play consecutive home matches this week as they host Point Park University on Monday and Penn State Fayette on Wednesday. Both matches will be played at the home of the Lady Lions, the Buhl Recreation Center. First serve in both matches is set for 7:00 PM.
