STATE COLLEGE, PA- Ashley Haylett (Conneaut Area HS) finished off a stellar weekend on Sunday with a total of 23 kills and 38 assists in a two match sweep of PSU Scranton and PSU York in the PSUAC Crossover Challenge this weekend on the campus of Penn State University. Playing in the University's historic Rec Hall, the Lady Lions swept PSU Scranton by sets of 25-13, 25-14, and 25-10 then followed up with a three match conquest of PSU York winning by scores of 25-15, 25-10, and 25-10. With the wins the Lady Lions won their sixth match in a row, and seventh of their last eight, elevating their overall record to 7-8 on the season (1-5 in the conference).

In the first match Olivia Vogel (Brookfield HS) chipped in with 11 service aces while in the second match Donique Marcella (Kennedy Catholic HS) added 12 digs to help secure the victory. Jenna Bornemiss (Girard, OH) also garnered 23 total assists on the afternoon.

The Lady Lions will try to continue their winning streak this Wednesday night as they return to conference action to face Penn State Greater Allegheny (11-7, 4-2) at home in the Buhl Community Recreation Center. Penn State Shenango will be looking to even the score against Greater Allegheny after a hard fought 3-2 loss on the road at McKeesport on September 11th. First serve is set for 7:00pm.
