SHARON, PA- Head Coach Nicole Nych's Lady Lions recorded their first win of the season and the first win in the program's modern era by upending Penn State-New Kensington 3-0 at the Buhl Community Recreation Center on Wednesday night. PSU-Shenango kept the high heat on all night winning by scores of 25-12, 25-18, and 25-11 while improving their record to 1-6 overall and 1-4 in the conference. PSU-New Kensington falls to 1-4, and 0-3.

Jenna Bornemiss (Girard, OH) once again led the Lady Lions with 9 assists while three players shared top honors in kills, Katie Richards (West Middlesex, PA), Jenna Horchler (New Wilmington, PA), and Olivia Vogel (Brookfield, OH) with 6.

Penn State-Shenango takes a couple of days off before hitting the road again this Saturday when they play at Penn State-DuBois (2-8, 1-3). Game time is set for 1:00pm.
