SHARON, PA- The Penn State Shenango Lady Lions fell 3 sets to 1 in their season home opener in front of a packed Buhl Recreation Center gym on Saturday afternoon by scores of 23-25, 25-22, 18-25, and 17-25.

With the win, Penn State Beaver climbed to 2-0 in the conference and 6-2 overall, with Penn State Shenango falling to 0-5 overall, 0-3 in the conference.

Once again Freshman Jenna Bornemiss turned in another fine performance leading the way for the Lady Lions while Robin Reynolds (Grove City, PA) and Ashley Haylett (Conneaut Lake, PA) led the offensive charge throughout the match.

The Lady Lions make a quick return to the floor on Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm on the road at conference foe Penn State-Fayette, playing in their first conference match up of the season and 5-1 overall.
