LADY LIONS FALL 3-1 TO CONFERENCE FOE PENN STATE MONT ALTO

SHIPPENSBURG, PA- At Heiges Fieldhouse, on the campus of Shippensburg University, the Penn State Shenango Lady Lions took a significant step forward in the development of Head Coach Nicole Nych's first year program.

The Lady Lions battled a much improved Penn State Mont Alto team, now with a record of 5-2, losing in four sets (21-25, 18-25, 25-21, 16-25) with Penn State Shenango's overall record falling to 0-3, 0-1 in the conference.

Jenna Bornemiss, a Freshman Setter from Girard, Ohio, led the Lady Lions with 16 assists and 16 digs. Olivia Vogel, Freshman Middle Hitter from Brookfield, Ohio led the Lady Lions effort with 11 kills, while Robin Reynolds, a Freshman Outside Hitter from Grove City, PA, had a solid afternoon with 8 kills and 14 digs.

Freshman Outside Hitter Kylie Mark (Warriors Mark, PA) led Penn State Mont Alto with 9 kills while Senior Setter Katie Muse chipped in with 16 assists.

Penn State Shenango takes to the road again on Wednesday night to take on their second conference opponent of the season, Penn State Greater Allegheny, currently at 0-3. First serve is set for 7:00pm.
