PENN STATE SHENANGO LOSES THRILLER IN OT TO CONFERENCE RIVAL MONT ALTO, 79-75

SHARON, PA-  Quintyn Flemister drained two free throws with two seconds left on the second half clock to tie the score at 69 and take the game into overtime. Flemister would rise up again in the extra frame hitting a three pointer at the two minute mark to put Mont Alto ahead 73-72 in route to a 26 point night. Brayden Martin (Grove City, PA) quickly nailed a three to tie the score again at 75 until JR Powe hit a layup to put Mont Alto ahead for good.

Tyrone Steals (New Castle, PA) led Penn State Shenango with 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists on the night while Ramell Askerneese (Sharon, PA) drilled 3 of 5 from behind the 3 point line in route to a 16 point total. Larry Ransom, Jr. added 15 points and 5 boards before leaving with an injury with 5 minutes left on the regulation clock and did not return.

John Teague added a double double for Mont Alto (4-2) with a 10 point, 12 rebound night.

The Lions, now 1-5 on the season, return to the floor again on Saturday to host last year's conference champion Penn State York at the Buhl Recreation Center. Tip off is slated for 2:00 PM.
