Baseball Splits with CCAC

The Penn State Shenango Baseball team split a doubleheader with the Community College of Allegheny County on Saturday. The first game saw Shenango locked in a tight affair until the top of the 7th inning when the men scored seven runs to widen the gap, ultimately winning the game 10-2. Nick Osborne went the distance, pitching seven innings and striking out seven. Mason Bevan went 4-for-5 with 4 RBIs.

In the second game, Shenango took a 6-3 lead in to the bottom of the 6th inning before CCAC came clawing back, scoring four runs in the last two frames to win the game, 7-6. Catcher Cameron Caldararo went 3-for-3 while Tyler Evans went 2-for-2 with an RBI. Shenango will hit the field against Franciscan University on Friday, May 3rd for their final home games of the season. First pitch is scheduled for 1:00 PM.
