Penn State Shenango

Brendan Henne joined the Penn State Shenango Athletic Department in November 2021 after multiple years of experience with Robert Morris University, where he graduated in the Spring of 2021.

At Robert Morris, Henne worked two years as an Assistant to the Athletic Training Staff. There, he was responsible for setting up and maintaining athletic and medical equipment for six different sports, working mainly with the football team. Later during his tenure at Robert Morris, Henne interned with the Senior Associate Athletic Director in the administrative aspect of the department. There, he was responsible for performing COVID screenings and procedures in order to safely and effectively host athletic events. He was also tasked with game-day operations such as equipment and technology setup and breakdown.

Since coming to Shenango, Henne has worn a lot of different hats in the Athletic Department. While his main duties include managing the department's budget and overseeing all team travel plans, he also is responsible for various things such as gameday operations, live stats, and general organization of all department-related things. 

Additionally, Henne served as a “Buddy” at the Miracle League of Southwestern Pennsylvania for nearly a decade, teaching special needs children how to play the game of baseball. He has also coached and continues to referee youth dek hockey.
