GANNON MURRAY, LARRY RANSOM, JR EARN PSUAC FIRST TEAM ALL CONFERENCE, JOHN BROWN THE JOHN FRITZ SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD

 

STATE COLLEGE, PA- Penn State Shenango's Gannon Murray and Larry Ransom, Jr were selected First Team West Division All Conference. Murray also secured the Conference's West Division Rookie of the Year Award and John Brown (New Castle, Pa) The John Fritz Sportsmanship Award for his efforts throughout the season. John Foster, Junior from Penn State Beaver, Jordan Payne, Senior from Penn State Greater Allegheny, and Jaylen Smith, Senior from Penn State Mont Alto rounded out the first team. Ranson, West Virginia native Jaylen Smith also collected the West Division Player of the Year honors averaging 19.3 points per game to go along with 5.8 rebounds per contest.

 

The Lion's Gannon Murray (Freshman from Boardman, Ohio) led the team all season long in numerous key statistical categories to include 15.7 points per game (8th in the conference), 5.2 rebounds, 4.2 assists (3rd in the conference), and 1.8 steals (Tied for 5th in conference)

 

Larry Ransom, Jr. (Freshman from Youngstown East High School) led the conference this season with 11.4 rebounds per contest posting fifteen games with double digit rebounding performances. Ransom, Jr also added 12.2 points per contest.
