President Ronald Reagan made his first trip to visit The Republic of China....The Boston Celtics beat the Los Angeles Lakers in seven games to win their 15th NBA championship....Gas was a $1.10 per gallon ..... The average income across America was $21,600.... and the Penn State Shenango Lions won their last PSUAC Men's Basketball Championship.

Head Coach Andre Smith and company look to change history in the next five days beginning Tuesday night at the Buhl Recreation Center when they take on the defending conference champions Penn State Greater Allegheny at 7pm. The two teams clashed head on twice during the regular season with Shenango winning both but by narrow margins, 67-64 at home and 81-77 in McKeesport. Both games went to the wire and were ultimately decided in the last few seconds of the game. Tuesday night's game predicts to be just as close.

Penn State Greater Allegheny has been led all season in scoring by Senior Jordan Payne averaging 18.9 per contest, and Junior Kenneth Rouse at 11.3 per outing. Up front they're led by Senior Mhonte Newsome and Junior Makis Rivera both averaging 6.3 rebounds per game. The up tempo Greater Allegheny team also has averaged 82.1 points and 41.2 rebounds on the season that has led them to a very impressive 16-8 regular sason record, 13-6 in the conference.

Penn State Shenango (14-11, 13-6) will once again be led by a pair of former conference Player of the Week performers, Freshman Gannon Murray, and Freshman Larry Ransom, Jr. Ransom currently leads the conference in rebounding at 10.5 per game while Murray leads the Lions in scoring (16.0) assists (4.2) and steals (1.9). Currently, the hottest player on the Lion's roster is Brayden Martin, Freshman from Grove City, having scored 66 points in his last three games.

The winner of tomorrow night's game will play Friday night, at a site to be determined, with the championship game set for Sunday, at the Bryce Jordan Center on the campus of Penn State University at 4pm.
